Case study: R&Q Ingenieria

Challenge
A well respected engineering firm in Chile, was celebrating their 30th year in business. They understood their corporate identity had reached a point where it needed a significant redesign, but they were hesitant fearing it would kill the continuity they had carefully built up over the years.

They are credited for some of the most renowned civil engineering projects in their country. They had created everything from large bridges, subways, and dams, to power plants and highways. Also provided consulting to the largest cooper mine in the world.

Solution
An extensive round of interviews with key corporate players in their organization was held, and a set of definitions were compiled to create a baseline for both their existing and new identity and branding.

It became obvious to its leaders that their existing identity no longer communicated the main attributes of the brand. In question were: creativity, legacy, dynamism, a rigorous execution process, mechanical precision, high professional standards and acknowledged leadership within the industry.

The new image successfully maintains the main graphic line but a new more contemporary look has been developed. The new design communicates precision and creativity while adding yellow as a corporate color.

New stationary, uniforms, trucks, ad campaign, anniversary seal, identity manual, corporate language and website were created to generate consistency of the new image throughout the company's various media channels.

The new image also stimulated the corporate culture by positively impacting staff moral. A renewed sense of pride now permeates the organization. It has also attracted a new generation of professional talent and helped to expand the scope of the company.
